Clinical Care Coordinator for Children's Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nursing professional to join our team in the Pediatric Extended Recovery Unit (PERU) at the University of Kentucky. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to post-surgical and medical pediatric patients.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of RN experience and a strong background in pediatric nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
- Assess and develop individualized nursing plans of care for pediatric patients.
- Deliver high-quality patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and providing education to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher.
- At least one year of RN experience in pediatric nursing.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
