Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or Unit Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering direct patient care and coordinating treatment with other healthcare professionals during assigned shifts. This role involves ongoing collaboration with the management team to ensure high-quality patient care services are consistently provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, quickly identifying and communicating any changes in status.
  • Execute medical procedures and treatments as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care.
  • Deliver outstanding patient care by responding promptly to requests and proactively addressing patient needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, ensuring clear understanding.
Required Qualifications

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:

  • RN license in Texas or a Compact state.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to deliver quality care.
  • Previous nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of nursing experience.
  • Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing or Oncology.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
