The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care while overseeing all unit functions. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC evaluates and monitors nursing care in line with established protocols. The CNC acts as a resource for staff and fosters an exceptional patient experience.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assist with the admission and discharge processes.
- Work alongside subject matter experts and leadership to enhance outcomes and service delivery.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to elevate performance and engagement.
- Support staff scheduling.
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Licensure/Certifications
Required:
- RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Preferred:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and National Certification.
Experience
Required:
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
Preferred:
- One year of management experience and experience in Acute Care settings.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proficient in developing staff schedules.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively manage crisis and emergency situations.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to foster team-building initiatives.
- Empathetic listening and responsiveness to patient, family, and partner needs.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
