Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-focused care while overseeing all unit functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assist with the admission and discharge processes.
- Work alongside subject matter experts and leadership to promote improved outcomes and service quality.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to enhance staff performance and engagement.
- Support staff scheduling.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: ADN
- Preferred: BSN or MSN
Licensure/Certifications:
- Required: RN licensure in Texas or a compact state, BCLS
- Preferred: ACLS, National Certification
Experience:
- Required: Two years of clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Preferred: One year of management experience, Acute Care experience
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Ability to develop staff schedules
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Effective crisis and emergency response
- Clear and concise communication
- Team-building encouragement
- Empathy and responsiveness to patient and family needs
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
