Austin, Texas, United States Epiphany Dermatology Full time
Job Overview

Are you seeking a remarkable opportunity to become part of a thriving dermatology services organization? Epiphany Dermatology is dedicated to enhancing access to dermatological care and delivering outstanding patient services in areas that lack adequate resources across the United States.

We are in search of a detail-oriented and service-driven individual to fill the role of a Compliance and Coding Administrator. As our organization aims to broaden its impact in the coming years, we have rapidly expanded from a single location to nearly 100 dermatology clinics nationwide.

Our workforce is crucial to our achievements, and we take pride in offering our eligible employees excellent benefits (many at no cost), perks such as complimentary skincare products, generous leave policies, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to be part of a mission-focused organization committed to elevating patient care.

We are eager to expand our team with individuals who share our passion for patient care and invest significantly in our employees' development, as we believe that being part of Epiphany is a career opportunity rather than just another job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in various projects related to monitoring, quality assurance, and support of essential initiatives, including but not limited to:
    • MIPS Training and Performance Monitoring across all states
    • OSHA Compliance, including office plan development and annual meetings
    • Monitoring provider medical licenses
    • Managing location business licenses and renewals
    • Supporting the Clinical Operations Director with Epiphany Dermatology Report Cards
    • Conducting entry-level medical coding based on experience, ensuring accuracy in medical claim information through our EMR system using knowledge of CPT and ICD codes
    • Processing medical record requests related to payer risk adjustments
    • Reconciling duplicate charts
  • Research and analyze changes in regulatory requirements and policies relevant to the organization.
  • Efficiently handle incoming communications, paperwork, and emails, ensuring proper filing according to departmental procedures.
  • Manage and assist with special projects, collaborating with team members as necessary.
  • Prepare reports by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
  • Address inquiries or complaints promptly to resolve issues, documenting unresolved matters and referring them to the appropriate parties.
  • Implement and adhere to policies, procedures, and protocols related to billing, medical coding, and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Two years of relevant experience in compliance and/or quality control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Medical Coding Certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for clinic visits and training.

Work Environment:

The administrative office may require occasional visits to medical facilities, which could involve exposure to clinical environments, including potential exposure to communicable diseases and biohazards. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting items up to 30 lbs.

Benefits:

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, life insurance, short-term disability coverage, mental health services, and more at no cost for eligible employees. Additional benefits include vision, dental, and supplemental insurance options, a 401k plan with company matching, employee discounts, HSA and FSA options, tuition assistance, certification reimbursement, and more.
