Position Overview:
The Lead Manufacturing Process Engineer will independently execute engineering tasks aimed at optimizing manufacturing operations. This role involves assessing equipment, workflows, and production processes to identify opportunities for enhancements in efficiency and quality. The engineer will also evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment acquisitions and may lead significant projects within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee specific manufacturing processes and areas.
  • Direct the design and development of manufacturing equipment and methodologies.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for systems and machinery.
  • Request components and materials for engineering initiatives, collaborating with suppliers for pricing and product details.
  • Conduct manufacturability assessments on new product designs.
  • Work closely with Design Engineering during manufacturability evaluations.
  • Perform process validations and risk management assessments.
  • Prepare detailed plans, designs, calculations, and analyses in accordance with established standards and specifications.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers to ensure accuracy.
  • Execute engineering calculations to resolve standard engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate as part of the product development team, engaging with cross-functional teams on various projects.
  • Assist in the creation of engineering drawings and specifications.

Independence:
This role requires the ability to work autonomously, guided by broad project and technical frameworks while adhering to defined standards and specifications.

Leadership Responsibilities:
The Lead Engineer may assign tasks and review the work of junior engineers or technicians, potentially managing multi-disciplinary project teams.

Qualifications:
A master's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 8 years of related experience is required.
