Key Responsibilities

  • Assist field Operations and Engineering teams throughout the network, covering all facets of cultivation processing, manufacturing, kitchen, and packaging.
  • Travel to various sites to spearhead new initiatives, support process updates, and address identified gaps affecting business execution.
  • Collaborate with leadership to devise and enhance innovative, timely, and cost-effective solutions that improve existing processes, equipment, and reporting across all markets.
  • Analyze and interpret technical engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, providing suitable recommendations.
  • Establish critical process parameters, operational ranges, and quality assurance standards for process validation.
  • Coordinate and oversee project deliverables across all cross-functional operations departments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and program-related issues.
  • Serve as a primary contact between site Operations and Maintenance staff, as well as corporate support roles.
  • Assist Facility Project Engineers with vendor management and equipment manufacturer communications.
  • Work with Facility maintenance and engineering teams to prepare and submit Change Orders.
  • Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to ensure project quality, including Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Organize and deliver training for operations and engineering personnel on relevant processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and that operations and engineering teams perform their duties efficiently.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance equipment performance.
  • Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial processing and packaging equipment.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all production documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; alternatively, 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification as a Manufacturing Engineer is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and reviewing automation engineering specifications.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical guidelines (GMP, GDP, ASTM).
  • Experience with automated manufacturing and processing lines is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of automation engineering experience in manufacturing or CPG industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of automation controls and PLC programming is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO) and OSHA safety standards.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Experience with combination scales and fill equipment is preferred.
  • Background in food manufacturing is preferred.
