LOCATION: CHICAGO, IL

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $100,000

We are in search of a skilled Process Engineer with a background in mechanical, welding, materials, or software engineering to help us fulfill current client demands and drive ongoing process enhancements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Modifying and working with 3D models provided by clients.
  • Generating CNC paths and processing data necessary for constructing near-net shape EBAM preforms.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative electromechanical process improvements that optimize the EBAM system.
  • Assisting in transitioning R&D designs to a production-ready state.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience with 3D CAD systems and machine tool programming software.
  • A willingness to become an expert in EBAM processes, applying previous skills alongside new ones acquired on the job to deliver customer solutions in additive manufacturing.
  • Strong independent work ethic as well as effective teamwork capabilities.
  • Experience in Welding/Additive Manufacturing technologies, including electron beam welding and gas tungsten/plasma arc/laser processes, with a solid understanding of metallurgy preferred.
  • Design experience using 3D CAD software such as Siemens NX or Autodesk is preferred.
  • Experience in additive manufacturing model cleanup and path planning is advantageous.
  • Exceptional writing skills with a focus on welding and additive technologies, proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in team management, project discovery, and planning.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
