As the Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist, you will spearhead initiatives in lean manufacturing, process enhancement, and facility layout design to boost operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

Your role will also encompass overseeing new capital investment projects and mentoring a team of engineers to align with our strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute lean manufacturing strategies to foster continuous improvement throughout the production cycle. Organize Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 5S methodologies to eliminate waste, enhance workflow efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.
• Assess current manufacturing operations to pinpoint areas for improvement and efficiency enhancements. Formulate and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce cycle times, and elevate product quality while minimizing expenses.
• Refine plant layout and optimize space utilization to enhance workflow efficiency, material handling, and production capacity. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement layout modifications that uphold lean manufacturing principles and operational excellence.

• Oversee the justification, execution, and commissioning of new capital investment initiatives aimed at expanding production capacity, upgrading machinery, and enhancing manufacturing capabilities.

• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
• Mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to enhance individual and team performance.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement robust quality control measures and lead initiatives to minimize defects and improve product reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and project plans. Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, project status, and financial metrics to support informed decision-making and accountability.
• Actively participate as a member of the site leadership team, supporting their strategic decisions.
• Promote a safety-first culture and implement process or design enhancements to improve team safety.
• Engage in daily reporting during gemba walks.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on lean manufacturing, process improvement, and project management.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
• Proven success in leading process improvement initiatives and capital investment projects within a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in plant layout design, including facility optimization and space utilization.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including SolidWorks, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
