Job Overview:
We are seeking a PRN Appointment Coordinator to oversee the management of patient appointment schedules for outpatient clinic visits.

Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing Daily Clinic Operations:
- Accurately schedule or reschedule clinic appointments in the scheduling system.
- Ensure that outpatients are registered properly and that necessary documentation is prepared.
- Communicate appointment details to patients, families, and relevant staff.
- Notify nursing staff of any add-ons or unscheduled appointments upon patient arrival.
- Prepare and distribute clinic schedules by the designated time.
- Provide orientation to new patients and families regarding clinic procedures and necessary forms.

Maintaining a Professional Environment:
- Keep the reception and administrative areas organized and presentable at all times.

Effective Communication:
- Answer incoming calls promptly and refer issues to the appropriate personnel.

Commitment to Professional Development:
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and a majority of optional in-services.
- Participate in staff meetings and review meeting minutes regularly.
- Complete self-evaluations prior to performance reviews.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.

Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in scheduling, registration, and insurance verification is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).

All candidates must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
