Apprentice Team Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that operational service levels are consistently met and surpassed by achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for colleagues, addressing issues and facilitating problem-solving.
  • Conduct briefings at the start of each shift to effectively communicate work expectations to all team members.
  • Report any violations of health and safety regulations, as well as incidents or accidents.
  • Deliver exceptional, customer-focused service.
  • Ensure adherence to all site processes and protocols.

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Possess a GCSE at grade C (4-9) in Mathematics and English, or have achieved functional skills Level 1.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Can follow established work instructions, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Are self-motivated with a positive outlook.
  • Have experience in a supply chain environment (preferred but not essential).

Apprenticeship Overview: During the 18-month apprenticeship program for Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3, you will explore various topics, including:

  • Team management, focusing on team dynamics, motivation, and resource allocation.
  • Leadership techniques such as coaching, role modeling, and change management.
  • Performance management, including absence management, conducting appraisals, and setting objectives.
  • Relationship building, encompassing negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management.
  • Effective communication skills, including listening, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of human resources and legal requirements, emphasizing equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Financial oversight, including budget monitoring and ensuring value for money.
