Job Overview

Position Objective:

The Quality Assurance Supervisor will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Assurance Manager by overseeing the Food Safety and Quality Assurance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and supervise quality inspections and temperature assessments for all incoming products.
  • Prepare and disseminate quality reports promptly and accurately.
  • Perform quality evaluations to ensure that products meet established standards before loading.
  • Oversee and/or engage in the inspection processes for raw product intake.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in analyzing data for various Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Regularly inspect the facility to confirm compliance with quality and food safety regulations, submitting corrective action requests as necessary.
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager in executing internal audits, regulatory agency inspections, and operational assessments.
  • Provide training to staff on equipment calibration, quality assurance protocols, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Conduct market visits to evaluate Del Monte's products at retail locations.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure effective implementation of corrective actions to address findings and non-conformities.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A combination of two years of college education (from an accredited institution) and/or experience as a Quality Assurance Supervisor in a related sector.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory role with direct reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with HACCP principles.
