Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Student Manager to support the mission of U.S. Air Force, Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Gunter Annex. The successful candidate will provide administration and student management support to the Commanders' Professional Development School at the Eaker Center for their Leader Development Course for Squadron Command.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Logistics Management: Manage all aspects of student logistics, including lodging, per diem, transportation, and other related activities, to create a positive learning experience.
  • Course Support: Serve as a course support function to track academic progress and validate program completion, and build classes, allocate quotas, register, and graduate students in the AU registration system, course, and learning content/management system as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination: Coordinate with MAJCOM training requirement managers on student requirements, update AU systems and SharePoint sites with course changes and student reporting instructions, and conduct primary regular interaction with students regarding course enrollment, school welcome, lodging, transportation, and other information.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Provide monthly statistics covering enrollments, drops, and graduations to the course directors, and collect, record, and provide a brief summary gathered by student feedback forms.
  • Facilitation and Support: Assist instructors and Eaker Center faculty where needed during class execution, coordinate on DV lodging and transportation requirements as needed, and establish contact with off-site venues for off-site activities.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: At least two years of professional experience in student management and/or training administration.
  • U.S. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Military Culture and Structure: A solid understanding of military culture and structure, including previous military service, and/or experience working with the military as a civilian or engaging with military programs.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to be detail-oriented, a motivated self-starter, and able to work both independently and as part of a team, with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, excellent communication (written and oral), customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work onsite at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, Monday - Friday during core business hours and occasional remote work as needed.
