This position involves making informed decisions regarding the allocation of funds for scholarships, grants, and work-study opportunities.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week over a 12-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disburse Federal, State, and Institutional financial resources in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Verify and certify all financial aid applications, including loans and grants.
  • Assist in the administration of the Alabama Student Grants program.
  • Provide comprehensive counseling to students and prospective applicants about available financial aid options, including loans, grants, and scholarships.
  • Support students in completing their financial aid documentation.
  • Represent the Financial Aid Office at designated meetings as assigned by the Director.
  • Facilitate various registration processes, both on-campus and off-campus, as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of cost of attendance budgets.
  • Participate in training sessions for personnel at extension centers.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Familiarity with PowerFAIDS software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications is essential.
  • Must be an active member of the church of Christ.
