Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at New London Public Schools. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain designated spaces and equipment, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing.
  • Assist in the upkeep of seasonal grounds work, such as snow and ice removal, leaves and other debris.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • May be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.
