Mental Health Specialist

The Qualified Mental Health Professional - Community Services (QMHP-CS) is a critical role within Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. This position is responsible for providing Targeted Case Management and Rehabilitative Services to youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families. The QMHP-CS will deliver case management and skills-based interventions to increase the youth's natural supports and strengths, fostering resilience and recovery. The role requires accurate documentation of services, attendance at Wraparound Team meetings, and communication of participant progress to supervisors, team members, and the referring authority. All services are delivered in compliance with the Texas Medicaid Provider Procedures Manual, the Texas Resilience and Recovery Utilization Management Guidelines, YAP standards, and all state and federal regulations governing the delivery of service. This position offers flexible work hours and the opportunity to provide behavioral health services to families within their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Targeted Case Management and Rehabilitative Services to youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families.
Deliver case management and skills-based interventions to increase the youth's natural supports and strengths, fostering resilience and recovery.
Accurately document services and communicate participant progress to supervisors, team members, and the referring authority.
Attend Wraparound Team meetings as needed.
Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human service related field, as defined by Texas Administrative Code.
Experience in the provision of home and community-based services.
CPR/First Aid Certification.
Behavior Management (MANDT) Certification.
Bi-Lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
