Position Overview:
IEM, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Shelter Supervisor to support our clients' increasing needs for effective shelter management and mass care initiatives across various communities. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
The Shelter Supervisor will oversee the leadership, management, and administrative functions of both congregate and non-congregate shelters serving the general population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for shelter operations, coordinating multiple teams and service providers.
- Ensure the needs of shelter residents are adequately addressed.
- Take responsibility for the overall management of shelter operations.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports related to shelter activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in disaster response, including natural and human-caused events.
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, emergency management, business administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Must pass background checks and be eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Professional certifications, such as Project Management.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $45
