About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part Time Store Associate at Office Depot. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement
    • Provide exceptional customer service by proactively engaging with customers and addressing their needs.
    • Utilize sales techniques to promote products and services, and ensure customers are aware of available solutions.
    • Maintain awareness of planned promotions, sales, and loyalty programs to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Store Operations
    • Ensure the store and print department appearance meets company guidelines and maintain a clean, well-stocked environment.
    • Adhere to standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
    • Follow established sorting and stocking guidelines, and complete freight processes efficiently.
    • Organize and set up the freight sorting area according to guidelines.
    • Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise
    • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided, including successful completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
    • Continuously educate yourself in these areas, up to and including designated certifications, if required.
  • Sales Techniques
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices, and support the company's loss prevention efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information and to access necessary information.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish a selling relationship with clients and other associates.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation, utilize training tools, and process inventory.
  • Client-focused, positive, and engaging, action-oriented, demonstrates a passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
