We are seeking a skilled Structural Pest Control Specialist to join our team at SSC Services for Education. As a member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that schools and educational institutions remain safe and healthy environments for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate and control undesirable insects and animals using integrated pest management techniques.
  • Post warning signs and secure areas to be fumigated.
  • Implement quality standards and conduct follow-up inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Handle and store pesticides safely and efficiently.
  • Operate equipment, including trucks equipped with power spraying units.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Utilize basic Integrated Pest Management (IPM) delivery tools and equipment effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal regulations related to IPM for structural pest maintenance.
  • Record all work activities performed accurately.
  • Clean work sites after completion of jobs.
  • Maintain commercial applicator licenses and attend required training sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Work safely in various weather conditions and emergency situations.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in performing IPM applications or equivalent education.
  • Must obtain a State Certified Applicator license in Pest category within 90 days.
  • Understanding of pesticide labels, handling/storage, equipment calibration, application procedures/timing, and basic IPM delivery tools/equipment.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $13.00 - $17.50 per hour, depending on location and experience.
