About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist in Microbiology to join our team at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development of cutting-edge biopharmaceuticals.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our microbiological products, including finished goods and in-process controls. This will involve performing microbiological verifications, testing, and qualification activities as required by cGMP regulations.

You will work closely with our Quality Control Laboratory team to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) documentation. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in identifying and resolving issues related to microbiological data deviations and product releases.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment, adhering to safety procedures outlined in the Chemical Hygiene Plan, and utilizing SDS sheets to assess chemical hazards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate of Science in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience AND 1+ year of previous GMP experience;
  • Sound aseptic technique and understanding of industry best practices, techniques, equipment, and materials;
  • Ability to analyze raw data, assess assay and system suitability criteria;
  • Good attention to detail and ability to utilize problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Work under minimal supervision;
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills;
  • Strong organization and analytical skills;
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
