We are seeking a skilled Emergency Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at CapRock Health System. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient outcomes.

Job Summary

The Emergency Care Nurse Specialist is responsible for providing holistic, compassionate, and patient-centered care to acutely ill or injured patients. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced emergency settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides patient-focused nursing care, utilizing the core nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Triage and prioritizes patient care based on acuity level and available resources
  • Implements the care plan and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate
  • Promotes safety initiatives and follows safety policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines
  • Works collaboratively with other disciplines to provide well-coordinated patient care
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency room care
  • Successful completion of an accredited registered nursing program
  • Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas
  • Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • Other experience in critical care setting preferred
