Overview:
Travel Nurse Across America is actively seeking a Mobile MRI Imaging Specialist for a travel assignment. This role involves providing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging services in various healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Mobile MRI Imaging Specialist, your duties will include:
- Verifying patient identity and reviewing imaging requests.
- Explaining imaging procedures to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
- Conducting safety screenings for patients prior to MRI procedures.
- Interpreting physician instructions accurately.
- Positioning patients correctly for MRI scans, utilizing immobilization and protective equipment to adhere to safety regulations.
- Assisting radiologists during imaging procedures.
- Starting IVs and administering contrast media as per established protocols.
- Evaluating MRI images for technical quality and ensuring proper labeling.
- Operating power injectors for contrast media administration.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Utilizing the McKesson PACS system effectively.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in MRI technology.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT National certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
- State-specific licensing as required.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and stooping without difficulty. A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.
