Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and appraise damage to autos, trucks, and equipment, providing detailed reports and recommendations for repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate communication with claims adjusters and insureds.
  • Conduct auto repair facility and independent re-inspections to verify damage and confirm repairs are completed.
  • Offer technical expertise on vehicle repair, parts costs, and garage or body shop operations.
  • Apply established appraisal protocols and metrics to all estimates, documenting any deviations from industry standards.
  • Evaluate claims for subrogation and salvage recovery potential, documenting and communicating findings to assigned claim adjusters.
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time, which may require overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Auto Physical Damage Appraisal.
  • Proven experience in the body shop industry or familiarity with the field appraiser/insurance industries.
  • Catastrophe appraisal experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in automated appraisal systems, with a preference for CCC knowledge.
