Job Title: Building Automation Specialist

Job Summary:

Field Talent is seeking a skilled Building Automation Specialist to manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective project delivery, financial performance, and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project-specific knowledge and manage junior project engineers as assigned.
  • Oversee multiple projects, balancing customer satisfaction, financial goals, and quality.
  • Create and update project plans, coordinating resources for timely completion.
  • Support the project manager in ensuring project profitability and cash flow management.
  • Handle project documentation, including change orders, schedules, and billing.
  • Manage change orders and upselling of project scope.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on design and construction compliance.
  • Oversee material procurement, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Ensure systems are fully operational before handover to the owner/operator.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and subcontractors.
  • Adhere to company safety standards and complete OSHA safety training.
  • Take responsibility for personal and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 3-10 years' experience in Controls.
  • Must have experience within BAC/BMS - HVAC, lighting, security systems, etc.
  • Familiar with construction labor practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and basic networking.
  • Strong organizational and delegation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
