About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group as a Mechanical Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for nuclear power plants, including modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, and engineering analyses.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, procurement documents, and vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.
  • Develop engineering cost estimates for client-requested work scopes and lead engineering project teams.
  • Visit client office and/or plant site locations to interface with clients and make presentations related to engineering tasks and status.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
  • PE license is beneficial, but not required.
