Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Formulate and implement a global security engineering strategy that aligns with the overarching security objectives and business goals of the organization.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to synchronize security engineering initiatives with business imperatives.
  • Remain informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to perpetually enhance the organization's security stance.
  • Team Management:
  • Guide, mentor, and oversee a diverse team of security engineers, offering direction, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Encourage a collaborative and innovative atmosphere that promotes excellence and creativity.
  • Security Architecture and Engineering:
  • Design, implement, and supervise security architectures that safeguard the organization’s infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Ensure the integration of security controls and measures into all facets of technology and operations.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to uphold compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Risk Management and Incident Response:
  • Identify and evaluate security risks, and devise strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.
  • Lead incident response initiatives for security breaches or vulnerabilities, coordinating with other teams to manage and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct regular security evaluations, including penetration tests and vulnerability assessments, to identify and address potential threats.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to ensure security solutions are seamlessly integrated into the organization’s technology ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and industry experts to leverage additional expertise and resources.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on security status, incidents, and enhancements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident response activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline (Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior security engineering role, with a successful track record in leadership and project management.
  • Extensive knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, incident response, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically and act decisively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with global security operations and managing security teams across various regions.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and technologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced security threats and emerging technologies.
