TÜV SÜD America, a prominent entity in property risk management, is seeking a Senior Consultant in Property Loss Control for a remote role within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Surveys: Perform comprehensive property loss control assessments to identify potential risks and business interruption vulnerabilities at client locations, adhering to NFPA Standards and other relevant guidelines.
  2. Develop Recommendations: Formulate actionable recommendations based on established standards, including loss projections before and after implementation.
  3. Evaluate Systems: Assess automatic fire protection and water supply systems for effectiveness and compliance.
  4. Report Findings: Analyze building construction, occupancy, and potential hazards, both special and natural.
  5. Estimate Losses: Create loss estimates based on various scenarios, including the Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
  6. Provide Training: Offer training and peer review for fellow consultants, serving as a technical resource.
  7. Client Services: Deliver a range of services including training, manual development, and regulatory interpretation.
  8. Proposal Preparation: Draft and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback, and prepare stewardship reports.
  9. Client Interaction: Engage directly with upper management at client organizations, including risk and financial managers.
  10. Professionalism: Maintain high standards of professional conduct and possess excellent communication skills for effective interaction with decision-makers.
  11. Project Management: Provide project management services, including special visits, plan reviews, and both oral and written presentations.
  12. Work Management: Efficiently manage assigned tasks within the database.

Qualifications:

  1. Review and respond to client communications and internal correspondence.
  2. Conduct fieldwork, report writing, consulting, and plan reviews.
  3. Adjust workloads as necessary.
  4. Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, stoop, crouch, crawl, and traverse catwalks.
  5. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  6. Certifications: Possession of or progress towards Professional Engineer License (PE) or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) is preferred.
  7. Experience: 3 to 5 years of consulting experience in a related field.
  8. Analytical Skills: Ability to draw sound conclusions based on collected data and applicable standards.
  9. Communication Skills: Proficient in gathering and conveying information clearly in reports, letters, and emails.
  10. Workload Management: Capable of managing individual workloads effectively.
  11. Technical Expertise: Recognized as a technical expert in the field.
