Job Overview:
In the role of Senior Category Manager for Procurement, you will be instrumental in refining our procurement operations. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and executing procurement strategies across various assigned categories, which may include highly specialized and competitive sectors. Contract Oversight: Provide consultation on statements of work, negotiate pricing, services, and contract terms, collaborating with Legal and other experts to ensure contract accuracy and resolve any escalated issues. Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to uncover cost-saving opportunities, create requests for proposals, evaluate and select suppliers, and negotiate advantageous terms. Cost Efficiency: Continuously review procurement processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, implementing innovative solutions that drive savings without sacrificing quality.Building Strategic Relationships:
Trusted Advisor: Establish yourself as a key contributor in strategic discussions, actively listening and understanding needs while presenting proactive ideas. Collaboration: Forge strong relationships and collaborate across functions with stakeholders from various departments (e.g., finance, operations, and legal) to align strategies with organizational goals.
