Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Smith Rowe, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment fleet, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for equipment maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical or related degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license and CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement (if applicable).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a variety of environments, including outdoor construction sites and shop settings. You will be exposed to all elements of nature and must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
