Job Overview

Workshops for Warriors is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our accounting department. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our accounting team, handling clerical tasks, organizing documentation, and assisting with various accounting processes to ensure the smooth functioning of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the accounting team, including managing and organizing paperwork, documents, and electronic files.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software or databases, maintaining and updating accounting records on an ongoing basis.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between the accounting department and other internal departments, communicating with vendors, clients, and employees regarding financial matters.
  • Documentation and Filing: Organize and maintain accounting documents, invoices, and receipts, ensuring proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Invoicing: Assist in the preparation and distribution of invoices to clients, monitoring and following up on invoice payments.
  • Expense Management: Support the processing of employee expense reports, verifying expense receipts and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in Month-End Closures: Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Customer Service: Address inquiries from clients, vendors, or internal staff regarding accounting matters.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting is a plus.
  • Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in an accounting environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
