Position Summary
The role involves full-time engagement as a retail customer service and business-to-business sales associate at the counter.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist culinary professionals, restaurant proprietors, and cooking enthusiasts with their purchases at the sales counter.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with vendors and clients to ensure seamless processing of special orders.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
- Manage refunds and exchanges efficiently.
- Operate independently or with minimal oversight.
- Package purchases securely for safe transportation.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
- Process payments accurately, ensuring all pricing and quantities are correct, and provide receipts to customers.
- Balance the cash register and prepare reports for credit and debit transactions.
- Occasionally visit clients as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Dynamic and energetic personality.
- Experience in the foodservice industry is advantageous.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly.
- Proficiency in computer usage is essential.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required. Previous experience in cashiering and customer service is necessary. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required, with additional languages being a plus.
Background Requirements
Candidates must successfully pass a background check and may be required to undergo a drug test for specific roles. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is mandatory. TriMark USA participates in the E-Verify program.
