Job Description:

At Softpath System, we are seeking a highly skilled Kafka Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux environments and Bash scripting, as well as Kafka operations and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead triage sessions with multiple tenants and provide onboarding support to prospective tenants.

• Participate and lead regular engagement forums to interact with tenants and answer any questions.

• Handle support activities during weekend and off-business hours as part of our L3 support team.

• Utilize monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, and others to query for patterns in logs and dashboard querying (PromQL).

• Collaborate with developers using tools like Git, Maven, and Gradle to contribute to code repositories and meet automation requirements.

• Work in an Agile structure (Scrum or Kanban) with project management tools like Jira and BitBucket to produce quality documentation and diagrams.

Essential Skills:

• Break down complex problems using design patterns and best practices, demonstrating a strong knowledge foundation and a sound approach to problem-solving.

• Build automated pipelines that integrate and transport software through reliable, secure, and governed channels from conception to production.

• Develop real-time monitoring and automation software that encompasses resilient and self-healing platform operations.

• Conduct effective triage and remediation of production incidents with accompanying customer service and support for all clients of the platform.
