About the Role

Operations is a dynamic and fast-paced function, with over 10,000 employees working across 17 countries and 30 cities, supporting millions of financial transactions worth billions of pounds. We ensure that trades reach the right client and account at the right time, covering a wide range of financial products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of syndicated lending transactions, performing all necessary servicing activities.
  • Create and reconcile reports, attesting to account balances.
  • Review credit agreements, credit sanctions, and client documents as required.

Accountabilities

  • Independently manage complex situations, referring to team leads or subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Knowledge of products handled by Wholesale Lending Operations, including syndicated lending, securitizations, and municipal financing.
  • Timely execution of client requests regarding facility terms, including drawdowns, repayments, and wire transfers.
  • Ensure fees, interest, and principal amortization are billed and collected, and forward to participants as appropriate.
  • Daily review and action of control and exception reports, researching and resolving breaks per department standards.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in reports.
  • Provide cross-training to colleagues on function and systems.
  • Participate in system testing outside of business hours.
  • Verify and approve work of admins, and communicate effectively with CFOs, treasury managers, and controllers.
  • Back up coworkers and assist with ad-hoc projects.
  • Primary systems: ACBS, MOC, IHS Markit Applications, Notice Manager, MLR, ClearPar, Pega Applications, Jetbridge/QMS, GBS.

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Policies and Policy Standards.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ year experience in banking or financial services

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience working on a syndicated loan operations team
  • Working knowledge of lending systems (ACBS, ClearPar, IHS Markit Applications, Loan IQ, payments systems)
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite and software, particularly MS Excel
