Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Mettler-Toledo AutoChem Inc. This role will involve conducting on-site installations, customer training, repairs, and preventative maintenance for assigned instrumentation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, mechanical, or electrical engineering, and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related field. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site installations, customer training, repairs, and preventative maintenance for assigned instrumentation
- Provide field service support and expertise to AutoChem end-users on assigned equipment throughout the product's lifecycle
- Communicate, document, and manage customer issues with the Sales, TAC, Product Management, Service, and Quality departments as required
- Prioritize, schedule, and track open service issues to resolution
- Document and report scheduling, utilization, expense, and escalation as required in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Education in a chemistry, mechanical, or electrical field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience, including internships or educational lab experience
- Ability to travel around 80%, with around 60% local travel and 20% overnight
- Territory includes New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia
- Software and hardware literacy and proficiency of Windows-based and embedded operating systems
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
