Job Summary

Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Gate Attendant to join our Lift Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our ski lifts, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain orderly passenger traffic conditions and advise and assist guests as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain surveillance of the lift area, ensuring the safety of guests and equipment.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to guests regarding weather conditions, grooming, and slope conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with superiors and colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with the daily setup and teardown of ski lifts, including maze and rope line maintenance.
  • Ensure all guests, including employees, use ticket gates to enter the maze area.
  • Support and promote company policies and procedures, including safety rules and risk awareness.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Complete the initial lift operations training program and understand the Customer Service Policy of Dodge Ridge.
  • Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Be aware of the ski area's terrain and facilities.
  • Be well-groomed and present a professional public image.
  • Have some interest/ability to operate technology.
  • Be in good physical condition, able to stand for long periods and shovel snow.
Working Conditions

As a Gate Attendant, you will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, often in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extreme temperatures. You will be required to work in high places, around moving objects, and frequently in cold, wet, or humid conditions.

Uniforms

A professional appearance is required at all times. You will be provided with most of the uniform, but you will be required to provide some items, which must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work.
