Job Description

**Job Title:** Clinical Technician

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Technician to join our team at Fast Pace Health. As a Clinical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support to healthcare providers, including preparing exam and treatment rooms, triaging patients, and assisting with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist with patient intake, including checking vitals, performing blood draws, and giving injections.
  • Observe patients, charting, and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
  • Assist with minor procedures and physicals, and prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment.
  • Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate on a daily basis.
  • Arrange referrals to specialists and obtain pre-authorizations when directed by the provider.
  • Perform federal and non-federal DOT, BAT, and Drug Screen exams.
  • Assist with clerical work, including checking in patients, obtaining and recording demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and billing/collection processes.
  • Work as part of the overall team by answering telephone, taking messages, and returning voicemails in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic preferred in a clinic setting, preferably urgent care.
  • Current CPR license and TB and IV certification required to be obtained within 60 days of employment and maintained during employment if applicable in your state.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school strongly preferred.
