Position Overview:

The Autism Support Behavior Technician plays a crucial role in delivering specialized support to individuals diagnosed with Autism. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including natural environment training, skills-based interventions, data collection, and intensive autism support.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the treatment team, the Autism Support Behavior Technician collaborates with the Autism Manager, Supervisor, and Director of Autism Services to assess and enhance clinical services. The technician will:

1. Provide direct support to children diagnosed with Autism, employing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
2. Participate in Behavior Skills Training and assist during Practical Functional Assessments.
3. Demonstrate confidence in decision-making related to Skills-Based Treatment.
4. Maintain thorough documentation of all goals and behaviors, ensuring compliance with quality improvement and reporting standards.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

- A High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Ability to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification within 60 days of hire.
- Experience in ABA therapy or working with children with autism is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using an iPad and computer.
- A minimum age of 21, subject to program requirements.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

The role requires sufficient physical ability to work in various settings, including:

- Standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting of light to moderate weights (up to 35 lbs).
- Effective communication and interaction with team members and clients.
