Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems.
  • Ability to accurately interpret layout diagrams and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Daily completion of service reports and weekly expense documentation.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on follow-up.
  • Overseeing the entire equipment installation process at client locations, which may involve physical tasks such as lifting and maneuvering.
  • Providing training on operation, applications, software, and part programming.
  • Utilizing Amada's application software for line control and programming tasks.
  • Regular travel within designated territories is required.
  • Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered a plus.
Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Regional Service Manager.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Electronics or a minimum of an associate degree with relevant experience is preferred.

Skills Required:
  • Ability to analyze and repair various systems including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, Volt/Ohm meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows operating systems.
  • Capability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Accountability and responsibility in providing service and support throughout the customer's machine ownership experience.
Travel Requirements:
  • Regular travel within assigned territories with occasional overnight stays.
Compensation:

The pay rate for this position is $30.00 per hour.
