About Your Role:

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking meals according to established recipes for residents, visitors, and staff. Your attention to detail will ensure that every meal is a delightful experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and serving areas
  • Plan cooking schedules to ensure timely meal service
  • Conduct routine temperature checks and taste tests to uphold food quality
  • Set up food in serving areas and replenish as necessary
  • Ensure proper portion control during preparation and serving
  • Monitor and utilize leftover perishables appropriately
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, flexibility, compassion, and reliability. While experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care settings is advantageous, all applicants are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in institutional or restaurant settings
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers, residents, and families
  • Able to address inquiries or concerns from various sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic math skills for routine calculations
  • Ability to make straightforward decisions affecting the immediate department
