About Your Role:
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking meals according to established recipes for residents, visitors, and staff. Your attention to detail will ensure that every meal meets our high standards, providing residents with a delightful dining experience.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment and serving areas
  • Planning cooking schedules to ensure timely meal service
  • Conducting routine temperature checks and taste tests to maintain food quality
  • Setting up food in serving areas and replenishing as necessary
  • Ensuring portion control during preparation and serving
  • Managing leftover perishables in storage
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

About You:
You possess excellent customer service skills and demonstrate flexibility, compassion, and reliability. Previous experience in an assisted living or memory care environment is advantageous, but all candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in institutional or restaurant settings
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers, residents, and families
  • Able to address inquiries or concerns from various sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic math skills for routine calculations
  • Ability to make straightforward decisions impacting the immediate department
