Supervisor Patient Services

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Patient Services to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the functions related to patient registration, ensuring seamless and efficient patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise patient registration functions, ensuring accurate and timely registration of patients.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Supervise and direct the maintenance and ongoing monitoring of patient health records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Organize, train, and supervise personnel, creating and editing master schedules to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
- Supervise the referral, pre-certification, and authorization process, ensuring all patient appointments have required approvals in advance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of relevant experience in healthcare operations or a related field.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct personnel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Proficiency in IDX/GE Centricity or similar electronic scheduling and billing systems.
