Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at Aligned Orthopedic Partners. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming telephone calls and direct patients to the appropriate staff member
  • Accurately document messages and forward them to therapists and personnel in a timely manner
  • Schedule patient appointments and obtain complete and accurate medical, demographic, and insurance information
  • Explain insurance benefits to patients and manage cancellation lists
  • Ensure patients sign in and present with required referrals
  • Generate new patient flowsheets and paperwork, and ensure all required forms are completed and placed in the medical record
  • Enter patient information into the computer program and register new patients
  • Notify therapists or aides of patient readiness and update printed schedules
  • Collect co-pay, deductible, coinsurance, and today's visit charges, and document payments in the computer system
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scanning and faxing documentation, and ordering supplies
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and remain calm in a stressful situation
  • Proficient in using a multi-line telephone system and billing computer program
  • Demonstrates keyboard proficiency and working knowledge of medical terminology
