Job Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator to support our medical practice and hospital departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, greeting them in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage patient intake, screen for emergent conditions, register patients, and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures, inputting patient charges and verifying demographic and insurance information.
  • Coordinate efficient patient flow through the practice or hospital department assigned.
  • Support organization initiatives related to modern technology, clinical programs, and improving the patient experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience providing high-quality customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • ICD 9 and 10 Code Experience preferred.
