About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced I&E Operations Technician III to join our team at Williams Companies Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of instrumentation and electrical systems, as well as excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex maintenance and operational tasks with all natural gas process-related equipment and systems
  • Minimize unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions with a focus on improving safety
  • Fix and maintain process control systems
  • Partner with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Operations Technician or similar role, including one (1) year experience as an I&E Technician
  • Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry
Physical and Environmental Work Requirements
  • The ability to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises, and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements
  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as the need arises
  • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
