Position Overview

The primary responsibility of a Warehouse Operations Leader is to manage warehouse personnel to achieve business goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness across designated departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Support: Provide guidance and assistance to hourly staff regarding their needs and concerns.
  • Performance Management: Recognize positive behaviors and address negative performance issues effectively.
  • Problem Solving: Utilize the Quality Network problem-solving approach to identify opportunities for improvement and engage the workforce in generating solutions.
  • Workplace Organization: Implement the Workplace Organization (WPO) methodology to enhance operational layouts and efficiency.
  • Timekeeping Management: Conduct daily updates to the Timekeeping System (TKS) to ensure precise payroll processing.
  • Documentation: Use the A-3 reporting format to record problem-solving efforts and adhere to local A-3 protocols.
  • Communication: Facilitate daily meetings to share business performance insights and encourage open dialogue with employees.
  • Safety Oversight: Execute and document weekly safety observation tours across departments.
  • Workload Planning: Strategically plan daily workloads in advance to optimize efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Support team members to enhance shift performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to contractual obligations at both national and local levels.
  • Rule Enforcement: Uphold shop regulations consistently.
  • SOP Audits: Conduct daily audits of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Skill Development: Foster personal growth through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.
  • Communication with Supervisors: Keep the General Supervisor Shop Committee informed of all ongoing activities.
