Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality speech, language, and swallowing services to patients through comprehensive evaluations, goal setting, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance speech therapy services and patient outcomes.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a patient-centered approach in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in speech therapy required.
  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maryland.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligible.
  • Current ACLS or BCLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of speech/hearing mechanisms, assessment and therapeutic materials, neuroanatomy, physiology, cognition, swallowing, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, speech and language disorders.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients, caregivers, therapists, medical, administrative, and nursing staff.
