Job Overview

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist - PRN is a key member of the healthcare team at Johns Hopkins Medicine, specializing in post-acute rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medically prescribed services for inpatients and/or outpatients to restore function, minimize disability following disease, or injury, and to assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her disability.
  • Conduct assessments and treatment activities with patients to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a post-acute rehab setting.
  • Successful completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship.
