Howard University is a leading research institution in Washington D.C., dedicated to providing students with a world-class education. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Records and Registration Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Strategic Records and Registration Manager will be responsible for overseeing the interpretation and application of student records policies, grade processing, registration functions, and academic record accuracy for all students. This role will serve as a primary contact point for student records inquiries, transfer credit evaluation, and enrollment registration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize enrollment and registration functions, including registration permissions, overrides, waitlist, and batch registration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date academic records, adhering to FERPA guidelines and university best practices.
  • Manage transfer credit evaluation and processing using AACRAO standards.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, MEAC, and University rules regarding student athlete degree completion requirements.
  • Produce academic standing reports and Deans list reports for review by the Provost's Office and various schools and colleges.
  • Oversee the grade reporting process, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Spearhead the organization and maintenance of archived records and transcripts.
  • Supervise enrollment/degree verification processing for student insurance needs, student loan deferment documents, and National Student Clearinghouse requests.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in a registrar's office or closely related enrollment management.
  • Strong understanding of administrative registration matters across higher education.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret academic records, making independent decisions and judgments in accordance with Howard University policy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Salary Range: $63,636 - $70,000 annually.
