Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant with a focus on Sales and Use Tax for our growing technology firm. This role encompasses managing all facets of sales and use tax compliance, reporting, planning, and audits. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of tax legislation and regulations, ensuring the organization meets all pertinent requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all sales and use tax functions, including compliance, reporting, planning, and audits.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all sales and use tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research on tax laws to guarantee compliance and discover tax-saving opportunities.
  • Work alongside the finance team to develop tax strategies that align with financial objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax provision calculations.
  • Coordinate tax audits and mentor junior staff members.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and relay updates to relevant teams.
  • Support special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax accounting, with a concentration on sales and use tax.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Sage.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and use tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Experience in the technology industry is a plus.
