Job Description

Overview:

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting department's activities, generating financial reports derived from financial statements, and enforcing policies and procedures for financial reporting. This role collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams to formulate budgets and ensure that expenditures align with anticipated revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set quarterly goals aligned with the annual strategy and budget for all accounting managers, ensuring accountability.
  • Develop, update, and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines across all accounting divisions to maintain uniformity.
  • Assess overall performance by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with executive management and division leaders to create an annual budget.
  • Formulate budgets by establishing timelines, gathering, analyzing, and consolidating financial information.
  • Ensure an efficient process for the collection of accounts receivable is established.
  • Prepare, enhance, and distribute monthly financial statements for executive management and external stakeholders.
  • Meet budget targets by scheduling expenditures, analyzing discrepancies, and initiating corrective measures.
  • Optimize financial asset returns by developing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
  • Actively contribute to business growth, strategic direction, financial forecasting, and acquisition integration as part of the executive management team.
  • Work closely with the executive team to conduct economic evaluations of various employee benefit programs.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing relevant policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard assets by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of accounting department personnel.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and create corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Maintain departmental performance by training, coaching, disciplining employees, and assessing performance outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Background in strategic planning and business development.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
